The roads in Delhi are like nothing you’ve seen before. The drivers love the sound of their own horn and you know you’ve acclimatised once the intermittent beeps blend into the background. Tuktuk drivers play chicken with buses alongside cars, cows, motorbikes, donkeys, auto rickshaws, cycle rickshaws, bikes and people all jostling for their share of the road. This donkey drawn cart just casually trundling up the hill eventually blocked the road for the buses behind. May be looking at it too hard but it sums up my initial impressions of India - the tradition and slow pace of the old just about holding back the power of the new.
